Welcome To... Beal's Laundrymat and Cleaners
Valerie Dargie can’t remember a time when Beal’s Cleaners of Auburn wasn’t a part of her life; that’s because her father, Harry Badger, bought the business in 1952 — the year she was born. “My father bought the business from Clarence Beal and owned it until his death in 2002,” she said. At that time, Dargie took over the reins of a business she had managed for the previous 22 years.
Over the last few years, Beal’s has increased the number of washers and dryers available. In addition to a couple of televisions to keep waiting patrons occupied, there are 34 washers and 40 dryers — including single, double and triple load sizes. In fact, the super-sized, 35-lb. triple loaders, she noted, are perfect for comforters, family loads, rugs or blankets. In addition, Beals is the place to bring dry cleaning and shirts. |
